About Us
OrangeGerbera specializes in non-profit organizational development. We value dearly the positive effect that non-profit organizations, their staff, and donors have on communities and consider ourselves fortunate to be able to help them to be successful. We run our business according to the ethics and standards of the Association of Fundraising Professionals, and encourage our clients to do the same. Our company was founded by Ashley and Lance Leasure in 2007 as a way to extend expertise developed over many years as senior marketing and development officers and executive team leaders in marketing, arts and social service organizations to a more diverse and in-need collection of non-profit groups.

Ashley has more than 18 years of experience as a Development Director for non-profit organizations including ten years expanding the fundraising programs of ACT Theatre and Seattle Theatre Group (the historic Paramount and Moore Theatres). Prior to moving to Seattle, Ashley led development programs in Central and West Texas including a seven county division of the March of Dimes and CENTERS for Children & Families. In early 2007 OrangeGerbera, Inc. was founded and began consulting and contracting with several non-profit groups in the local area.
Ashley is a member of the Northwest Development Officer’s Association (NDOA), serves on Washington State Chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) Board of Directors and is Chair of the AFP Sponsorship Committee.
A 20-year veteran of marketing and nonprofit newbie, Lance has served OrangeGerbera as an advisor and brand/marketing strategist since June 2008. Since transitioning his role as Managing Director of an interactive marketing agency and formally joining the organization as a fulltime employee in October 2009, Lance has served a variety of roles learning and leading many aspects of the business. He is passionate about providing solutions to complex challenges leveraging the best possible technology and talent available given his clients’ circumstances.
Lance thrives on nurturing the customer relationship, measuring and responding to real time metrics and the delivery of quantifiable results. He sets high standards for himself and those with whom he works in anticipation of always exceeding the expectations of clients. Lance respects the client’s position and circumstances, yet never shies away from prescribing the best approach. He believes these facets to his work lead to the positive impact on the return on investment OrangeGerbera provides.
