Thereby saving you time and expense by not focusing on grants to organizations that are unlikely to fund your requests.

One of the first steps we will take when taking on a new grant-writing project is to conduct an assessment of the information you have on hand that will be necessary for most grant applications. This information includes:

• Mission and Organizational Overview
• Case Statement
• Board and Staff Bios
• Major Donor and Funder Information
• Current and Past Years’ Budget
• Program Details and Funding Needs
• And more…

If any of these items is missing, incomplete or in need of revisions, we advise you as to what changes we believe are necessary and can work with you to develop them. Our goal in this step is to help you create assets that can be maintained and reused as a core set of information available for all future grant applications and donor information packets. We have experience developing each of these assets and can help make sure that yours represent your organization in the best light.

Once we’ve established that the necessary information is available and accurate, we conduct thorough research in one or more major commercial databases and compile a prioritized list of the foundations that we recommend be targeted first. This list also serves as a calendar of future grants to pursue throughout the year.

After agreeing with you which applications to work on first, we go to work crafting proposals and letters of intent (LOIs) as is necessary for each respective funding organization. We run every application past you before submitting them and then manage the process through to completion.
